It is always a funny debate out there about cats and dogs – dogs are man’s best friends; dogs are loyal to the owners; dogs cheer you up – what about cats?As I mentioned in my previous blog, cats are seen as selfish animals, and this actually happened to me a few days ago when I was chatting with a new friend who is a die-hard dog lover. This is exactly what he said “cats are selfish”, and guess what? Yes, I showed him the blogs I have done and try to make him realise that how wrong he is! 😛
Don’t get me wrong, having Mimi, my beloved dog back in Taiwan, for over 8 years is also one of the best things in my life so far. And I do miss her as much as how I miss my cats. Like what Mark Twain said “If animals could speak, the dog would be a blundering outspoken fellow; but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much”, (you can tell Mark Twain had the potential of being a servant as well 😉 ), cats and dogs are really different and you just cannot compare one with another!!!
For those who haven’t really gotten to know these animals, here is the shortcut for you to have a quick understanding how these two different furry babies behave differently!
In fact, the difference is not just between cats and dogs, there is also a funny way to identify cat lovers and dog lovers.
In my last blog, I was talking about how cat lovers are servants to their feline masters, but I have never ever heard any dog owner describing himself/herself as a slave to serve the dogs…
Let me explain to you in the following perspectives:
Attitudes
Most of the people who own dogs are called dog owners, and they have dogs to keep themselves companies. People who raise cats, yeah, they do it to minister to the cats. (check “In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this”).
Going Out
Dog Owner walk the dogs with the lead on and take the control of the dogs; Cat Servants always put the cat in the carrier (which quite costly) with a warm blanket in and carry the cat around.
In Bed
Dog Owners: hell, what in bed? Dogs are supposed to guard the house at night; Cat Servants will always make sure they make the bed for their masters and keep them the best spot to sleep together.
What the animals think
Normally, Dogs see the people who raise them, provide food and accommodation to them as their owners; Cats, see those who raise them as servants who are allowed to live in the territory!
To me, cats and dogs are both lovely in different ways…. Ok, ok, if I really have to choose, I will still go for my purring babies… 😉
Any dog lovers out there? What do you all think?
P.S. Mimi, I still love you! hehe…
Like the photo “Mimi at beach”!! I miss the time we went to beach together, with Mimi 🙂

Yes, whenever I go to beach here in Melbourne, I think of the times when I took Mimi along, and feels it would be nice to have you girls here as well.

Yes, I saw that video long time ago, and I thought of it when writing the blog, and thought it would be a good idea to put it up.
Cats and dogs are so different but both very sweet!
